But, seriously.
I've been waiting for this marking for two years, and finally, on the perfect date, just after the last eclipse of the leo-aquarius cycle, the one conjunct my midheaven at 0 degrees leo wrapping up a very significant cycle for me, it happened.
I had been stymied this whole time about who to get the tattoo from. There's a plethora of folks, but nothing really struck that inner cord. I play the long game almost always, I don't move until things feel right. Sometimes this looks, outwardly, like I take 3 years to start a business I've envisioned and 2 years to get the tattoo I knew I needed. The thing is, so much happens that isn't calculated outwardly, and waiting sometimes means the perfect time with the perfect person. @new_wave_magazine Thank you for getting into this work so I could have a tattoo artist I knew and loved, since she was young, now so grown, be the one to do this! Always an amazing artist and awesome human being ❤ You've literally made a somewhat long-ish dream come true!

And at this moment in time, I feel more committed than ever to my work in this world.
What do we even do,
with a world like this?

Beautiful beyond our very wide imaginations.
Full of sorrow, discontent.
I talk to the trees, the plants;
sometimes animals,
sometimes,
others, harder to pin down and mostly made of story, these days.
It's never an ending, an awful, a give up and go away, with any of them.
It's basically, always:: remember.

A warmth unlike another.
This is the thing I wanted most to create this go around, and the thing in so many ways unlike my self. The house I don't want to keep. The work I sometimes resent.
But the folks we did it for, worth it all.
And, the best teachers this lifetime thus far, dearest life companions.
As well as the land outside the door. Both of those as well.
Who would I even be without and besides?
We certainly idealize the individual flame culturally, but the love that binds and holds us can grow us so much.
And at some point, you have to ask, why are you doing anything at all? Isn't it for one another?
